A habitat in Emergence

Degree show, 2025
Based on an interest in idealised city structures and ecology, the practice creates hybrid ecosystems where created where each terrain is constructed, deconstructed, and rearranged from the same wood sheets, merging into an interengaging ecology. Particularly, the 'Underwater palace of the Dragon King' is the subject of ancient Korean folktales that frequently explore the potential for organs to separate and the transition between animal, plant, and human forms. In this context, I creates a new terrain of inter-objective systems, influenced by the relevance of various parameters. I arrange the remains of organisms stacked vertically in the strata horizontally and distribute them in three dimensions to form an ecosystem that extends across the sea and air.

Egg Watcher

Degree show, 2025
In performance piece, the artist portrays an anonymous species dedicated to protecting and nurturing eggs while maintaining vigilant security. The incubation and conception of life, and all of its aftercare, often serves as the crucial link that shapes the hierarchy and habitat structure of several species. This character, neither completely human nor entirely alien, embodies the care for the egg, which symbolises potential and vitality.

RHYTHM

Degree show, 2025
The bones and hearts of the three-dimensional printed creatures, their holes and traces of any organic cell or tissue form, rhythmically arrange themselves around each other. At the end of their interference they become a body of different rules and create a rhyme.

Dive in

Chelsea MA project, 2025
I focus on the properties of the cave which represents the immediate space between particular world and another world in the different narratives in diverse cultures, including the foundation myth of Gojoseon, the first ancient Korea. The the presentation of video reveals the intro about drift into the cave and arriving in the shelter for weakness.

‘The fragile layers of the individual sink into the deep, subterranean sea of scratches, peeling, and loss. In this installation, layers of fractured latex, concrete, and metal structures, as well as digital film accumulate like debris forming, a low-lying terrain where fragmented bodies can rest, reconfigure, and persist.’

Eather

Chelsea MA project, 2025
This is the virtual creature absorbing and drifting in a riverside environment. This virtual  biological activities operate the way of ‘Birth’ by filling out the trace of organic-inoragic beings in the river. This practice explore the ontology in relation to life and entropy, as well as the memory and time.

Tender Bodies

Chelsea MA project, 2024
This project approaches an
d encounters the boundaries of the medium, including the art work, space, time and audience.  For the artist, the opening and closing of the image is an act of being in touch with the world. When it opens and closes, a being can be born, breathe, see the outside, speak, and live. It also means the act of connecting with each other through the gaps of the body, with the pulse and movement of the tiny skin in time to the sound created by the artist.
