Born in Busan, South Korea

SeungWon Jang is a London-based Korean artist working across sculpture, installation, light, sound and digital media. Her practice engages with natural and more-than-human environments, using a non-linear archival method to reconstruct narrative and material systems. Casting, painting and installation operate as research frameworks in which organic and inorganic agents coexist. Her installations form hybrid ecosystems where fragmented and reconfigured bodies circulate across media. Light and sound function as temporal forces that connect these shifting material and technological bodies, allowing her to reimagine the relations between individuals, their bodies and the environments they inhabit.
